Tonight I surprised my husband with something different - a meal served in sizzling plate. We both love sizzling meals, the smell of the food is great and the sizzling sound it makes when the server put it down on your table was enough to stir an appetite. When we found the place to buy the cast iron plates, we were so excited and bought four of them. Came home, put them in the cabinet and forgot about them. I found them last weekend while I was cleaning our cabinet and thought about using them this week.
Marinate the porkchop with oyster sauce and pepper.
Heat the pan, add olive oil, and the marinated porkchop. Cook for 20 minutes in medium heat.
Add sliced onion and garlic the last 5 minutes.
I also cooked the brocolli and chopped asparagus on the same pan until they are tender.
Warm the cast iron plate on the stove, put half a spoon of butter and oyster sauce on the base and add a scoop of rice, porkchop and the vegetables. Serve sizzling hot !!!! It came out so good, my husband requested I make it again !
