The Prize and Joy of Exercising

The words of John Muir, a Scottish-American naturalist and early advocate of preservation in the USA, have been part of my inspiration to seek always the beauty of nature. Nature to me is very therapeutic. Whenever I am alone and out in nature, I feel a deep sense of peacefulness and contentment that I am being taken care very well of by our loving Creator. In my heart and mind, I have everything and there is nothing that I want more personally. I feel the greatest joy of how great our God is for giving us this wonderful and beautiful world. Nature is my healer, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

It is my love for nature that motivates me to stay healthy and strong. My goal to exercise is not to show off a Beach Body in skinny two piece suits in the summer, but to keep my physical fitness or even further improve my fitness level so I can climb more mountains, so I can experience more canyons, and so I can surf ride more waves in the sea, more so when I will be past 60!

I have several dream hikes in my bucket list, and they are my motivators to actively follow our Extreme Body Workout routines. These past 7 days, we took more than 160,000 steps covering almost 100 miles and climbing more than 10,000 ft total in the local mountains and canyons of San Diego. Yet, at every end of every day,

we still have the energy to jump for joy while waiting for sunset by the ocean. Exercising outside in the middle of the healing gifts of nature makes me feel that my body, heart and mind gets stronger. In each of our hikes, we feel we are getting more confident with our physical capabilities and fitness level to do some of our dream hikes. We have 90 Day Review to make all our preparations and assess our health. We are hoping that in the next 90 days, we will be in the best shape of our "aging life" :) Staying healthy is a common goal that I and my husband share. We are not into dieting, but we are into healthy eating and maintaining an active lifestyle. For the prize and joy of exercising does not only bring us good health but also brings us happiness beyond compare whenever we are OUT of the DOORS exploring our beautiful natural world. 
Stay healthy- eat right and exercise! Let us climb more mountains, explore more canyons and ride more waves in the sea. Life is beautiful, I hope you find it.

  4. There is truly a joy in staying healthy and fit !

    I have to get back on my exercise regimen by the first of January. All these holiday parties made me two sizes bigger hahahaha

  5. hubby and i need that extreme body workout. couldn't stay outdoor too long these days as Gian is still too young to explore outdoors with us.
