Ice.....
Fire....
Fireweed
And they were both shot in the same park, at Matanuska Glacier Park, Mile 102, Glenn Highway Scenic Byway, Alaska.

  7. i love your choice of contrasting photos, beth! so amazing that, like you pointed out, both ice and lush flowers could be found within the same park. i am intrigued by the name of the flowers - fireweed. are they called that because they are from the family of the stinging nettle or poison ivy? the kind of plants that cause an allergic skin reaction when touched?
