Food Trip Friday @ Swensens

With our household help, we get to enjoy eating Filipino food almost everyday. The supportive spouse however, gives in to our cravings once in a while. The challenge is, we have to find a place where our little girl would enjoy the food too. And so one weekend, we ended having lunch at Swensens while our household help enjoys her day off from the kitchen.

We started with clam chowder - baby clams, diced potatoes, carrots, onion and celery in a creamy soup served in a sourdough breadbowl. This alone almost made me full, but I just can't wait to eat my

baked stroganoff beef rice - delectable chunky beef slices sauteed in onions and cooked in brown rice, baked with savory rice and cheese. Yes, I love cheese - lots of cheese! ;)

Obviously, the little girl settled for the kiddie meal :)

And hubby had beef lasgna - juicy minced beef between layers of pasta and spinach, accompanied with tangy tomato sauce.

Since we had a FULLfilling meal, three of us shared with this strawberry super soda.

Happy Food Trip Friday Everyone!
