Bare Trees @ Monochrome Weekly

.
I saw this sight on our way home from Arizona. My senses were attuned and were scanning the drive for anything at all that would appeal to my 'lens.' We came across this abandoned village that has several winter-trees scattered around. Found it beautifully mysterious! I like monochrome a lot, it has the ability to add drama to an otherwise ordinary-looking scene.

  4. Black and whites are incredible!
While colors amaze us in the complexity, a black and wine captures the very soul of the scene.

  5. "beautifully mysterious" ... you said it perfectly, tes!! those two lone trees actually remind me of lovers, together against all odds. and for some reason, the picture brings to mind the old popular song, "you and me against the world.":) coz that's what it looks like ... looks like no matter what happens, those two trees will stand together bravely, for all eternity!! awesome job, tes!!

  6. Very lovely :) I love black and white photography. It's such a dramatic medium and a nice way to strip a scene to it's essence.
