An Ode to Happiness

I am a free spirit, beautiful and warm.

I will thrust to the horizon with a zestful attitude.

I will greet anyone with a caring smile.

I will tease around playful souls.

I will be a shelter for those who’ve lost their way home.

I will dance to the rhythm of my heartbeat.

I will sing my soulful longings, joys and pains.

I will embrace him who would long for me.

I will kiss with a fire-like consuming.

I will snatch back my laughter in midst of trouble.

I will let tears fall like rain.

I will hold tight to the unseen hand that is always there.

I will travel on to this journey brave and bold.

Here and now,

I will breath-in life like it is my most precious gift.

I will glorify The source of all my inspirations…

by giving my best shot ...

by quietly walking my path

by graciously sharing to the world

all of me…

and all the best I could be.

Napadaan lang

napada-an lang was written by a friend. i fell in-love with it the after reading it. i asked her permission to lift this one from her friendster blog, sa gilid ng bangin, as an offering to this new home of salitype society.

Hindi akin, hindi sa yo,
lahat ng ito, o iyon, o kahit ano;
dumadaan lang, dumadaloy,
walang maaangkin dahil hiram lahat.
- napadaan lang.

Wag mong tibayan ang kapit
lilipas ang lahat.
Wag mong akalaing mayrong matitiyak.
Wag mong isiping matibay ang hawak.
Nagbabago ang lahat.
-napadaan lang.

Matapang ka ngayon
kala mo sa ‘yo ang mundo
bukas papatagin ito ng mga pagsubok,
iyuyuko ka rin ng pagkatalo.

Kaya sana pilitin mo-
makita- na dumadaloy lang tayo;
kasabay ng hangin, ng alon,
ng araw na sumisikat at lumulubog sa takdang panahon.
May hangganan ang lahat
malayo man o malapit;
may dulo, may wakas.

Sa huli-
Anong maiiwan,
anong babaunin?

Sana pag-ibig,
sana yun lang;
habang tayo’y
-napadaan lang.
