so love your poem Carm, thanks for sharing, ahhh, somehow, I envision your words as coming to God's doorstep, where we may move far and away from Him in our journey, yet, each time we remember to come to HIM, the door is always wide open for us, door of happiness, of everlasting happiness.
Betchai i love ur awesome photograph of heaven's doorway...it is poetic in itself...thank you for lending it to this poem...it has brought the meaning to a much deeper sense...that of god's unconditional love...the lost sheep, the wamdering traveler has once again found her way to our home's doorstep...thankyou dear friend for always leaving the door open, for patiently waiting to welcome her back..i love u betchai!
Hmmm why did kurdapya become dalagang bukid? ... Anyway, i want to thank dok zen kulasa for loudly knoking on my door and pulling me out of my shell to contribute here.. She kicked my butt and says "get up and go to work! You lazy ass..." ahahaha winks kulasa!People may come and go through our doors.. Some may find their way back, others may get lost in the bush (huh?)... And for old friends or strangers who'd come to our doorstep seeking compasion... Knowing they may challenge our comfort zone...Would we open the door or would we keep it shut?
hahaha, very much like Zen :) thanks for listening to Zen kurdapaya aka dalagang bukid :)
as for your question, TOUGH!! I usually open the door as much as I could, but if the stress is too much of letting them in and hurting us again, I find it is best to be free from them, yes, with doors closed!
I see where u'r coming betchai... For people who deliberately abuse our kindness, u need to double locked ur door, put a deadbol, a cctv camera, a machine gun on top, and a sign that they better not bug u or they'd have an early appointment to see st. Peter...ahahaI'm hermit myself, not only do i hide from closed doors sometimes... I dug myself burried under the ground even... Ganun po,. Sorry naman
I would open my door wide and let them in. but will it be always wise?
Hello blue lotus. Thanks for dropping by and sounding off. I recon, we have to be discernful of the people we let in our doors. It wouldn' t be wise helping if it will utterly endanger ourself, or if by doing so we tolerate unreasonable dependent tendencies by those who flock to our doorsteps.
Hi there dalagangbukid hahahaha and all of you sisters!! Hi Betchai and Blue Lotus! well, life is too beautiful...and I always keep my doors open, my arms ready to embrace and to keep loving everyone...welcome back Carmen!!!!!! missss yoouuuu and your deep thoughts and so beautiful words....always a fan! :) I love TSS!!
Kulasa zen! Kisses sis! Don't ever miss me.. For yrs that we've known each other u got it by now that i have flares for disappearing acts... Ahaha.. But i'd always comeback, my friendship may go quiet but it's always there.. I love u and betchai dear ones. Thanks for keeping the fire of the salitype torch alive up to this point... Incidentally, this poem comes as our 5th anniversary offering... I just read from our intro that july 18th is when tss was founded... Heroism is underrated nowadays... Hmmm the time had butchered what's lwft of the kindness we have, what with news of abuses... But long as we want to be called humans, we should strive to be heroic in our own special way... We could take time off at times but never to completely wear out our hellos to whoever needs our help... And thus, wairing for us to reach out and let them in from our doorsteps..I love u guys! I remain to be a hopeless believer... Winks!
