Let me share with you some of the things I have learned from our hikes that taught us in order to see more of nature, we have to welcome silence and peacefulness in our hearts.
When the sky is so blue and the water is calm....
Look out into the ocean, you have greater chances of seeing whale's fluke prints and dolphins dark blue lines...
When you see the dark blue lines, chances are there are circle of birds and more dolphins enjoying the abundance of life. When they break away from the group, follow them, chances are, like us, they want to have some fun with the waves.
When you hear cute flapping sounds so fast that they produce a hum, chances are, the hummingbirds are around.
When you see odd one out in a bush. chances are it may be a bird or some other wildlife....
When you pass a cliff and hear tiny sqeaking sound, like calling out to someone, look up on the walls of the cliffs. If there are white droopings, chances are, you will see a peregrine falcon, the fastest living bird.
When you are out in the woods, or in bushes, and you hear a cracking sound, or clumps of leaves jumping up and down, chances are, you will find a squirrel who will look at you straight in your eye.
When you wake up in the morning, look out at your window, to see God's promise of another beauitful day. Don't forget to give thanks to HIM for giving us Everything.
Let me end this post by sharing a quote I stumbled very recently. I could't add more, since it speaks directly to the heart.
"All those who love Nature she loves in return, and will richly reward, not perhaps with the good things, as they are commonly called, but with the best things of this world-not with money and titles, horses and carriages, but with bright and happy thoughts, contentment and peace of mind.
" - JOHN LUBBOCK, The Beauties of Nature
Having contentment and peace of mind is the key to enjoying fully bright and happy thoughts that last a lifetime and will move you forever!!
