Dreaming of a Mediterranean Cruise

Is summer really over? Last weekend, while swimming, hubby told me, "this may be our last weekend boogie boardind and snorkeling dear, the water is really cold now, and it has been several weekends where it is always foggy. Without the sun, the cold water is more felt."

Baby Smiles and Baby Slings

Yesterday I had so much fun taking photos of a friend's daughter Marieves. At first she would hide behind her mom and shy away but surprisingly after a little coaxing she gladly posed until I literally got tired shooting. I can still picture her from months ago being carried in a dolcino wrap by her mom and us singing lullabyes for her at our work quarters. Now she is two years old and about to become a big sister when her mom delivers again early next year.

No Other Place like this, No other Hiking Experience like Hiking the Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon, often described as the greatest geological showcase of the earth, is one of the world's seven natural wonders,
which also includes the following: Great Barrier Reef in Australia, Mount Everest in Nepal, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Northern Lights, Paricutin Volcano in Mexico and Harbor of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I am glad to have seen and hiked in one of these natural wonders. It is said that nowhere else is a place like Grand Canyon, nowhere else features such a dazzling variety of of colorful and artistically sculpted rock layers.

Fall Colors in Bishop Creek Canyon, Eastern Sierra

Fall @ Bishop Creek Canyon, Eastern Sierra, CA
Even though California is not a popular place for fall colors for some reasons:

1. Spectacular fall colors are not everywhere, but mostly in the mountain areas.

2. Most of the trees are the evergreen pine trees, and evergreen drought resistant bushes and live oaks.

3. Some, if not most, of its residents do not know their mountains, and they speak strongly about their innocence of California. How often I would hear, "oh such beautiful fall colors, WE DO NOT HAVE THEM AT ALL HERE IN CALIFORNIA!" It's like one's person opinion already represents the whole of California. So, how can one blame if most people think indeed there are no fall colors in CA when its residents claim there are none at all?

Botox, Face Lift and Relationships

Let's face it. We women love it when our partners tell us we look good! Honestly nothing gives me the high more than the hubby saying I am looking great. I am not someone too vain and neither am I someone who would take for  granted my looks to the point of giving the hubby a great reason to look for beauty somewhere else. I believe however that real beauty is in the pureness of the heart. It is difficult though to recognize the angel in someone who has unkempt hair, sagging fats around the neck and thighs, and everywhere else those unsightly depositions love to hug. It is our responsibility to keep our bodies in the best shape as we age. I admit I am guilty of not having enough exercise at times and not eating the right kinds of food.
