Lenovo Speakers

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Lenovo for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
My mom was a grade school teacher and a dressmaker in her own dressshop.  She was my first mentor and my inspiration. People who knows my mom and who knows me will say I am just like my mom - hard working and focused. She retired 15 years ago, but she stayed active helping me raised my children.
When I was little my mom is my "go to" person. If I have questions about different things - from how to cook stir-fry noodles, how to operate a fruit blender, how to sew clothes and work on my school projects I always call her.  My mom was always there to help me find answers to different things I didn’t know.
Right after college, I was very fortunate to get hired as an accountant in a prestigious company in town where I grew up. I was very busy working my way up the corporate ladder and barely had time to see my mom.  One day my mom called me on the phone asking me how to use a debit card which the bank gave her after she opened a new account. I went with her to the bank and showed her how to use it. Couple of months later my mom asked me to show her how to use a celphone which she received as a gift. Slowly it dawned on me that my mom and I reversed our roles. Now she was the one asking me to show things that are new to her. I was more than glad to show her how to use a computer, how to operate a microwave, how to get online and use skype.
This year as I am preparing my trip to visit my family in the Philippines, I wanted to get my mom and dad  a Lenovo speaker M0520.

I know they will ask me a lot about what it was and what it was for and how to use it.  The Lenovo speaker M0520 is a 2.0 speaker system which includes a main speaker with built-in amplifiers and a sub-speaker.  I will attach it to their desktop computer so they can hear the sound better when I video chat with them on the computer. They can can also use it with their  smartphone or MP3/MP4 player.  What I like about it is the speakers are small in size and doesn’t take a lot of space and the sound they produce is big and bold. Lenovo speaker M0520 has 4 watts of power for high-quality full sound, convenient USB-powered connection with energy saving function,  speaker wire spools for easy storage, elegant yet substantial presentation.
Yesterday I called my son on the phone to help me download an app on my celphone. He came over, pushed a couple of buttons and the app I was looking for was installed on my celphone in ten minutes. He even created a short cut so I can easily find it when I need it.
Before he left, he asked me if I know what an Android market place is … hmmmm I think for a while and whispered “No, I don’t, but you can drive me there when you are not busy”. He laughed and left shaking his head.

  3. oh, your post brought so much smile to my face and warmth in my day (cold today, brrrrr) Chay, for it reminds me too of the sweet moments I had with nanay and tatay teaching them how to use computer, ATM and they kind of resisted before, but I kept on telling them, good right now you have a choice, but we do not know what tomorrow will be, so if you can learn how to use it now, why not learn it now? haha! hope you have a lovely trip back home, Chay.

  5. That made me laugh so much telling about your son loading an app on your phone. Just sorry he did not have time to take you to that market.... Boy can I relate to that. when I was first trying to set up my blog, even my 9 year old grandson was more knowlegeable that i am about the computer, and was able to give me lots of tips. You really have to work at it to keep up these days with the electronics. that speaker looks awesome and looks similar to a gadget that i want to get for my iphone. Have a great weekend, and thanks for the smile!

  7. Baguio is one of the most memorable places back home. It was there where we celebrate our parents' wedding silver anniversary and they celebrated it with us - their children. One week of pure happiness and wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
