San Pedro, California

San Pedro is a port district of the city of Los Angeles, California. San Pedro, began and thrived in the fishing industry, evolved into a working-class community and port area of Los Angeles, which annexed it in 1909.

I happen to come across an ad of this place in Facebook. Our family love seafoods, so the next opportunity we found, we drove 60 miles to check out this place ....

San Pedro Fishmarkets and Restaurant

Although the weather was warm, the restaurant was next to the ocean so we dressed in layers just in case the cold breeze becomes unbearable.

The dining area.

The view of the ocean from the dining area.

The highlight of our trip ! We picked fresh shrimps, fish, lobster, scallops and vegetables. The chef cooked and put them together for us.

The garlic bread was just delicious !

The kids were upset and hungry, but I had to take pictures and they obligely put on a nice smile then start digging in to that delicious meal !

A friend quietly watching while we were eating.

These two were having a nice afternoon conversation.

The rest were just enjoying the company of each other in the water.

Little shops around San Pedro harbor.

The crowd gathered and watched this older gentleman played his guitar.

A floating restaurant by the pier.

The Harbor

A dog in one of the boats waiting patiently for his master.

This huge dog enjoying an afternoon walk with his master.

Before we head home, we stopped by and had a piece of Claim Jumper's popular " chocolate motherload cake".

We all had a great time and it was worth the long drive....
