Bahay-kubo

I remember a time, not so long ago....when I met friends online who changed my life and made me want to know...what made them smile, what made them glad...what they wished and prayed for in life....When I was sad and sorrow haunted my nights, they were there to make me laugh and with just a word or two they made me feel alright....

....that everywhere I went, I was never bored, frightened nor saddened...I walked each path, straight or winding with love in my heart for all the beauty in nature that reminded me of them......

.each blade of grass, each color in the sky, each flower, each rock...made me feel home at last...

....and in this huge world of ours when the sun sets each day to offer us rest...I think of them from miles away and say "thank you for the gift of friendship".."thank you for painting colors on the walls of my simple life...you are my home, away from home..my salitype society family...this place we dearly call "bahay-kubo"...I keep inside my heart and will treasure, for all eternity....

  1. awwww this just touched my heart. I remember the bahay kubo so well, we had so much fun talking about the crazy things we would do in our bahay kubo ! I miss friendster days -- I miss posting our dinner photos, I miss the different foods we would make if one is celebrating a birthday ! Awwww our friendship is surviving despite the distance !

Hugs to all TSS sisters near and far ....

    1. same here, miss the friendster days, where we would post our dinner photos and everybody talks about the dinner :) we call it the mansion kitchen, I think FS was the mansion and this one was the one we called bahay kubo then Chay. Then, we also have a beach house when the mansion was temporarily not accessible.

so, our bahay kubo here stays....there may be a few of us now who constantly keeps this noisy, but hoping and waiting for others to remember the bahay kubo again and remember to share the wonderful gift of group togetherness and friendship, we were like a support group to each other then. i still see TSS as my support group til now, happiness overflows always each time anyone makes a noise here in the bahay kubo :)
