Some might think that Lancaster is boring, but to me it’s home. I’ve lived here my whole life and never plan on leaving. My whole family also lives in town so it’s nice to have their support. It’s also a beautiful part of the United States that goes unrecognized. We have cold winters, but the fall and spring are beautiful. I know we are known for having a lot of Amish people here, but not everyone is anti-technology. We do have a lot of Amish, but we also have everything any other American town would have. The Amish keep to themselves, and don’t bother the rest of us very often. It annoys me that everyone thinks that if you’re from Lancaster, then you must be Amish. I just got clear internet lancaster which lets me have a 4G internet connection anywhere in town. If that isn’t technologically advanced, then I don’t know what is. I guess I just need to accept that for the rest of my life when I say I’m from Lancaster, those who don’t know this area might think I’m Amish.
We lived in York for years and always enjoyed visiting Lancaster. While the Amish are a focal point, they clearly are not the majority.
