A mumbling of an erratic mind

dew

I am a year older but not necessarily wiser. The hair is turning gray and i have to fight tooth and nail to keep it at bay every six months. The memory and focus is not as keen and acute as it was when i was many moons and summers ago. But, i am still here..... thankful for another year, grateful for another opportunity to enjoy life and beholden to countless blessings - big and small - that has been and will be bestowed upon me and my family for time to come.
I came to learn things and facts of life everyday, for what is life if we never learned from it. Just in case we haven't, don't expect a different result from doing it the 2nd or the 3rd time around; its kinda pathetic really. If i don't tolerate a certain behavior on kids, why should i tolerate it on adults? Childlike is way different from childish , while the former i find endearing at times the latter is getting on my nerves. If we can't have what we want, move on. Focus your energy and time to other things, bigger and better things. Do not stop moving forwards. Missed opportunities and circumstances that happened in the past must remain where it should be-past. There's nothing that you can do to change that, period. Instead, those should be the force that propels you to tomorrow. If we must, look back with fondness, sadness or regret but never step back into it. Never!! Try to do your best in any endeavor - afterall, who wants a half baked cake. Give it your best shot, if all else fails you can proudly say you did the best.
I have no idea what i'm mumbling about. I write what comes to mind. If doesn't make sense...well, thank goodness i am not alone.

  5. i terribly missed reading your intellectual mumbling Eng...you never fail to amaze me with your wondrous thoughts...the best thing about getting a year older if one grows old properly is earning more and more knowledge..one that perceives beyond what the naked eye can see....and the photo...ahhhh timeless...."Engcredible" as twinzy Cher would put it:)

I feel the same about the gray hair, vision, teeth, and life as I grow older.
