Ardeche, Northern Provence

Ardeche, Northern Provence France - entering the "province" of Provence ( that's why everywhere in the world there are provinces named after this state in France) first we came to one of the highlights there, the Gorge of the river Ardeche. In millions of years this beautiful landscape was formed by water.

We started early in the morning driving over the plateau to reach this natural arch in Ardeche. The river is a paradise for those who love canoe and kayak from people from all over the world. But for us looking and enjoying the landscape and taking photos is enough :)

We drove up all the way up to plateau again after being on the river Ardeche near the arch to see the views into the Gorge and deep down there and the landscape. We have to stop somewhere along the roads because wild goats are crossing the street :) ( see the picture before the last one) also we had an eye on the local plants, don't know what you call them.

It was again another exciting travel experience for me, and i am so thankful to my husband Michael for driving all the way up to the mountains of Ardeche although I know it was not so easy for him.

" Merci! my hubby -bi!" :)

  4. I want to plan a 2 week trip for me and her through some of the best riding roads in this part of Europe. I was thinking Northern Italy and Provence, but where would you recommend I go... Plan my 2 week trip for me if you like.. Plan on 3-4 hours in the saddle 5 days, stopping for the weekend, then taking 5 days to get back via a different route.
