Red Dewels

I would like to thank Betchai for naming the yellow bird and everyone who left a comment at my MYM post. I will visit you back when I have more time to blog hop. Meantime, I will trouble you again for helping me to name this plant. Some of you who knows me very well are aware how much I love taking snapshots of the DEWels of nature. This one was taken at Bintan Lagoon where we stayed during our family weekend escapade in Indonesia. Unfortunately, this plant is not very familiar to me.

  1. cher, awwww, i love the word you coined- "DEWels":) how very clever!! and what a brilliant ruby red cluster of cherries (well, they look like cherries to me anyway)! unfortunately, i cannot tell you what they are:( only that they made me smile again today:) i am a big fan of nature photos that show dew drops clinging to flowers, fruits, blades of grass, etc:) one of my favorite religious songs is, "i come to the garden alone" and the first line goes like this:

"i come to the garden alone...
while the DEW is still on the roses... "

i think that is such a pretty picture to imagine, isn't it? Dew on roses. or dew on cherries, such as this one:) i think one of the best times of the day to go out and enjoy nature is early in the day, before the sun has totally risen in the sky ... while the dew still lies fresh and sparkling on plants and weeds and fruits and all of God's creation:)

thank you for sharing such a breathtaking DEW-y photo, cher:) i'm sure you had a wonderful time shooting this one, too, while the day was still young..

  2. Cher... this is another gorgeous macro shot. Sad to say don't know the name of the plant in focus today. All i know is that it is so pretty and was made prettier with dew and nicely captured by the lens.

  3. hi Che, beautiful shot, looks like a red berry shrub but I just don't know exactly what specie or red berry bearing shrubs, but I may be wrong too. the dew drops are awesome.

  5. Hi Chepot, I very much like the contrast of that red against the yellow-green. The reflection of green on that dew drop is also nice. Lovely composition, girlash! :)

  6. Beautiful shot, Cher!

I'm terrible at naming bird, flower, and plant. It looks like some types of berries to me :-)
