Bird of Happiness

Can anyone help me name this bird? Haha! Don't laugh at me, I'm very bad in naming birds.
I gotta learn because hubby's favourite subject for now are birds. He captured this one on a yellow bell tree down our block.

  2. awww, sorry, cher, i don't know the name of this lovely bird either:( personally though, if i were asked to name it, i wouldn't hesitate to call it "Sunshine Bird":) and why not? look at those gorgeous feathers the color of sunlight! that bird has the power to place a smile on anyone's face just by alighting nearby! well, it definitely brought a smile to my face:) that's awesome that mond is into bird photography right now. i know some hunters around here who are into shooting birds:( i much prefer the type that "shoots" birds just for lovely photos, not to eat them:) thanks for sending a patch of sunlight into my little corner of the world through this picture of Sunshine Bird:) i hope you, mond and kyla are also blessed with a sunshiny, gorgeous week as you continue to share your beautiful nature photos with us, your friends!! hugs to you, cher!

  5. I'm afraid, like all of your friends before me, I am not at all competent in ornithology which is, of course, the study of birds!! I think you had better buy hubby a bird book so he can look them up. He got a great shot, that's for sure.

@Betchai... the term Bulbul... has an inappropriate meaning in Tagalog. hahaha kakaloka.
