Other Half @ Fun Friday

It's time for Fun Friday in our group, Blogging For Fun. We are doing an A to Z challenge. This week, we are working on the letter O.  O stands for Once Upon A Time... our Other Half...

this is hubby when he was seven years old, wandering in Harz with his father and mutti

this is Michael when he was 4 years old, a family friend an artist Mutti said made this. Mutti told me a story about Michael when he was four years old, together with Mutti and his grandmother and father they went to Braunlage to have few days holiday, Michael that time a very active young boy did something that Mutti will never forget, that day there was a mini orchestra on the stage at the "Kurpark" or nature park so the people can relax and hear some music while sitting, or eating at the restaurant, and when the orchestra was just started to play Mutti said the piece is from Glenn Miller Orchestra, when Michael heard the music from the orchestra he just run in front of the Orchestra, stand there straight and start to motion his hand like a professional "Dirigent" or Conductor (music). When the music is finished, everybody was clapping their hands and Michael "the Maestro" ;) politely bow his head with one hand at the back ;) like a professional Conductor :) Nobody knows if the people like the orchestra or they like hubby "the Maestro" ;)

My other half, Rog, was around 9 years old when this pix was taken. It shows him beaming with happiness as he holds his pet hamster while the family cat stares at it with hungry eyes. Rog always was - still is - an animal lover. Well, he likes almost all animals ... except cats. He got turned against them because he was in a previous relationship with a woman who developed a serious cat obsession: Over time, she purchased 18 cats and let them all live inside her house. So now Rog says we can only have a dog when Teyla gets older. Or some fish. I told him I want a horse. Maybe a miniature pony for Teyla. He smiled and said, "We'll see."

What's with the hearty laugh? My cousin saw the moon rise over the desert multi-colored canyons at Golden Canyon in Death Valley National Park. On her excitement, she ran to take a picture, was in an awkward position, and when she clicked her camera, it was on a 10 second delayed timer. She was holding her camera, so I laughed, counted...one...two...three....while my cousin was trying to hold still for that 10 seconds for the camera to snap, teeehehe. And my hubby can't control his laughter, and was laughing like a kid, saying, "you're funny Ms. Aspan". The Joy of hiking and discovering our wonderful world.

I do not have a lot of Doods's old photos with us. It's in my parents in-law's house, in the Philippines. Well, at least I found one. This was taken during his mountaineering days in college. Climbed Mount Makulot in Laguna, Philippines.
