Dual Flush is Eco Friendly

The other day, we were in a friends house, I used their restroom and noticed that the handle of the flush can swing left to right instead of up and down! Curious, I asked my friend why the flush is positioned that way. I found out, it's a dual flush toilet! If you pull the flush nab to the left, the toilet tank will dispose less than the usual amount of water that a huge flush tank consumes. This is called the rinse flush. If the flush nab is pulled to the right, it will dispose a bigger amount of water for heavy flushing. Whoa, what an effortless way to save water. It's so practical and very economical. Needless to say, I was fascinated and impressed.

Go green is going large and I have not encountered anyone who is not a fan! There are countless ways to go green, and everyday, more ways are discovered. Dual flush toilets makes helping mother earth as simple as a push of a nab! Really cool. Dual flush is a contraption that you install in the tank, no need to replace the whole talk and toilet in your restroom.  I haven't done mine, not for lack of wanting...I just don't get the time. Installing a dual flush is on top of my to-do list.

  1. That is one way to do it, but most water saving toilets do a good job with less water all the time. Some thing in the design and i know it works.
