take my hands....

I was cooking lunch when the words first popped up. Later on, as i was watching a night programme on the telly, the same words relentlessly resurfaced....."take my hands". I tried to shake it off to no good as it keeps coming back to me.

Finally, i gave in to a commanding desire to write. When i hit the keyboard, i was overwhelmed with deep emotion that left me crying. It feels like a much awaited rainshower after a long dry season, a bliss after a long struggle and fight, a presence of God in one's life.

To those who are going through a difficult time in their lives, this is for you.

take my hands
let me lead you to a place
where the sun always shines
where the moon appears at my command
where the rain falls at the clap of my hands
where the wind sings in rhythm and rhymes

take my hands
let me hold you tight
know in your heart i will be by your side
never to leave you when you are down
never to abandon you in your darkest nights
never doubt that i will carry you when heavy yoke halt your stride

take my hands
come walk with me
let me give you rest
let me in your heart and you'll find love
let me touch your soul and you'll know hope
let your spirit seek me and i shall give you peace
