old glass wine jars...

the hubby used to collect glass wine jars. i don't know why he collects stuff he aint gonna used in the first place. i asked him to throw it in recycle bin when an idea hits me. i been wanting to preserve fruits and veggies,in oil or vinegar, in bottles for decorative purposes but couldn't come around it.

i bought different types of seed....corn kernels, dried yellow split peas, dried black turtle beans, red split lentils, dried split peas and mung beans and layered them in the jar.

i even used my left over tagliatelle pasta. i ran out of lentils, you see.

it brings out a bit of life to a rather dim lit corner. it makes my day cheerful to see lively colors around. those seeds filled jar are in my kitchen for more than two years now. and yes, those wine jars comes very handy indeed!!

  18. wow kuracha amazing!

im thinking of the functional use of those bottles,
