old stuff for decor...

i have an old picture frame that i'd been meaning to get rid off but kept forgetting; a wall in ysabelle's room screaming to be dressed; ysabelle's old drawings( those she did whenever at home and feels like it) and school awards which gather dust on the ref's door ( its filled with her assorted stuff from drawing to writing and invites.!!!)

it isn't much of an art deco nor can be consider something even fancy. but hey! the old stuff can be recycled in a manner that doesn't cost a thing--except glue and few minutes of time.

ysabelle is quite happy helping me with this one. she even told me how she got her few commendations and explained why these art work are her favorites!

not a bad result i have to say....the decor may not be to everyone's liking but i did the planet good by re-using stuff, didn't i?

  4. eng, i think you did an excellent job with the old picture frame and your daughter's art work! you not only did your little part in saving our planet; more importantly, by spending time to put ysa's work of art on display, you are letting her know how highly you think of her work .. and that is great for building her self-esteem and making her feel so very loved and special (things which many parents take for granted):) way to go, mom!

  5. Eng this is such a great idea - very creative and artistic !

Jeff's mom created something memorable like this and placed inside a shadow box (will take picture next time I visit her). It was a baby outfit of Jeff's dad - it was like 70+ year old outfit.

Imagine this stuff you made for Ysa, she will be so proud to show this to her kids someday !

Great job Mommy Eng and Baby Ysa !!!
