Mission Statement

The Salitype Society exist for meaningful reasons. First, it was founded to provide a haven for bloggers. To commune with others who shares the same passion for blogging.

Secondly,as we moved on, we found another calling in the form of sponsoring a charity foundation. Our meager earnings partly will go to charity –we are looking into sending a child to school. Somebody with a name, a face… somebody we can get to know. There is this group World Vision and Tapulanga Foundation, they are an army of kindness: living among the very people they help. They don’t present the gifts and leave. They administer the gifts and linger as good neighbors should. Part social worker, part Sunday School teacher, helping body and soul. Check out the site for more details.

Tapulanga Foundation

We are NOT inhibited to accommodate other forms of charity --God willing we will generate more funds. For now, baby steps –slow but sure.

With your help, we can make a difference. We can give a child a fair chance in life.

  2. Yes, what a visionary! And what a noble mission.

A very long time ago, I used to help out a child back in our home soil through a charity group. I am not going to name that group.

Part of the condition was, my monthly endowment would attract administration fee to cover up some cost which was understandable.

What I did not like was when I found out per statement that my personal gift to the child was also charged with administration fee and that was not the condition.

So I gave up. If I want to help, I'd rather want to do it to someone who is referred to by a reliable person.

Go for your noble mission. This is very good!
